1. What Is a 32/1000 Box Profile Roll Forming Machine?

A 32/1000 box profile roll forming machine is an automated metal-forming line designed to produce roofing and cladding sheets with a 1000mm cover width and a trapezoidal rib height of 32mm. The machine pulls in steel coil (typically 0.30–0.70 mm thick), gradually shapes the ribs through a sequence of rollers, and cuts panels to the programmed lengths.

The box profile is characterized by:

32mm rib height
1000mm cover width
Three major trapezoidal ribs
Low/middle rib reinforcement for added stiffness
A clean, modern appearance
High load-bearing strength compared to corrugated profiles

This design makes the 32/1000 profile a top seller across Europe, the UK, and Africa for both roofing and wall cladding.

4. Profile Description (32/1000 Box Profile Explained)

The 32/1000 box profile is a modern trapezoidal metal sheet widely used across Europe and the UK in roofing, cladding, and fencing. The numbers represent:

32mm rib height for improved strength
1000mm cover width for efficient installation

This profile provides an ideal balance between aesthetics, durability, and cost-effectiveness. It is manufactured from pre-painted or galvanized steel coil, making it suitable for harsh years-round climates.

Key Benefits

Clean, modern trapezoidal design
Excellent structural rigidity
Fast installation
Suitable for both roofing and wall cladding
Compatible with anti-condensation backing
High resistance to wind uplift
Low noise vibration due to rib structure

Common Uses

Residential roofs
Industrial warehouses
Steel-frame buildings
Garages & workshops
Agricultural barns
Container conversion & modular buildings
Retail units & commercial façades

Available Variants

32/1000 T18
32/1000 T20
32/1000 XL (reinforced rib)
32/1000 wall cladding profile

5. How the Machine Works

The 32/1000 box profile roll forming line is a fully automated system. Here is the complete workflow:

1. Coil Decoiling

Coil (1.2–1.25m wide) is loaded onto a manual or hydraulic decoiler. Tension control ensures smooth feeding.

2. Feeding & Leveling

A pinch feeder or servo feeder grips the material. Optional leveling ensures consistent panel quality.

3. Roll Forming

14–20 forming stations gradually shape the trapezoidal ribs. Tooling is engineered for:

Precise rib geometry
No surface scratching
High-speed accuracy
Long-term durability

4. PLC Length Control

A precision encoder detects strip movement and triggers the cutting cycle.

5. Cutting

The panel is cut to length using:

Hydraulic guillotine (standard)
Flying shear (high-speed production)

6. Run-Out Table or Automatic Stacker

Panels are discharged automatically and stacked if required.

6. Applications

The 32/1000 box profile is used in:

Residential Construction

New build roofing
Extensions & conservatories
Carports and garages
