Main Cities and Regions Using Roll Forming Machines in Mauritania

The growth in roll forming technology is concentrated in areas with rising urban development and industrial projects:

  • Nouakchott – The capital city is the primary hub for building materials, warehouses, and infrastructure expansion.

  • Nouadhibou – This port city supports logistics, warehousing, and metal product demand tied to fishing and trade industries.

  • Zouerate – Known for mining and steel-related activities, there’s demand for structural roll formed steel products.

  • Rosso and Kaédi – Agricultural and logistical infrastructure development increases demand for roofing and structural profiles.

Maintenance Requirements

Roll forming machines are durable but require routine care to ensure optimal performance and longevity:

  • Daily Maintenance:

    • Clean rollers to remove metal debris

    • Inspect and lubricate chains and gearboxes

    • Check oil levels in hydraulic systems

  • Weekly Tasks:

    • Inspect alignment of rollers

    • Tighten bolts and electrical connections

    • Clean dust filters in the control cabinet

  • Monthly Maintenance:

    • Calibrate PLC sensors and encoders

    • Replace hydraulic oil (every 3–6 months if in heavy use)

    • Inspect wear on cutting blades and replace if dull

Price Range of Roll Forming Machines in Mauritania

Pricing depends on complexity, automation level, materials, and optional add-ons like stackers or punching stations.

  • Entry-Level Machines:

    • Price Range: USD 15,000 – 30,000

    • Typically for small-scale corrugated or IBR machines

  • Mid-Range Machines:

Local and Global Manufacturers

Currently, Mauritania imports most of its roll forming machines from international suppliers due to limited local manufacturing. However, local businesses often rely on support from the following:

  • Global Manufacturers:

    • Chinese manufacturers (widely used for cost-effectiveness and quick delivery)

    • Turkish and Indian brands (favored for structural steel profiles)

    • European brands (used in higher-end industrial applications)

  • Machine Matcher connects Mauritanian buyers with trusted manufacturers worldwide, ensuring you get the right machine, profile, and setup tailored to your industry needs.

Setup and Operation of Roll Forming Machines

Installation Process:

  1. Foundation Preparation – Install on level concrete with bolted anchors.

  2. Electrical & Power Connection – Check if Mauritania uses 380V, 3-phase power (standard for industrial setups).

  3. Machine Alignment – Adjust the rollers to match your desired profile.

  4. Test Run and Calibration – Run coil through machine, check for profile accuracy, and fine-tune roller positions.

Operation:

  • Load steel coil into manual or hydraulic uncoiler

  • Guide material through feeder and rollers

  • Machine automatically shapes and cuts the profile

  • Collect formed profiles manually or with a stacker system

Training your operators is essential, and most machines come with basic manuals and video support.
