Roll forming machines are primarily used in urbanizing and economically active areas of South Sudan:

Juba – The capital city and primary center for infrastructure, real estate, and industrial projects.
Wau – Growing demand for residential housing and commercial construction.
Malakal – Reconstruction and development projects in post-conflict zones.

Maintenance Tips for Roll Forming Machines

Regular maintenance is essential for maximizing the lifespan and performance of roll forming machines. Recommended practices include:

Daily cleaning of rollers and forming stations
Lubrication of chains, bearings, and cutting blades
Weekly checks for loose bolts, alignment, and wear
Electrical system inspection monthly for the PLC, sensors, and wiring
Annual servicing by professional technicians

Proper maintenance reduces downtime and ensures consistent profile quality.

Machine Setup and Operation

Setting up a roll forming machine involves:

Positioning the machine on level ground
Power connection to match local voltage (commonly 380V or 415V)
Loading the coil on an uncoiler or coil car
Feeding material into the entry guide
Calibrating the rollers and setting profile dimensions
Starting the PLC system and test-running the first few meters

Operators need basic training on loading coils, monitoring the control panel, and adjusting settings for different thicknesses and materials.

Pricing: Low-End to High-End Machines

The cost of roll forming machines in South Sudan varies depending on the type, automation level, and brand:

Low-end manual or semi-auto machines: USD 10,000 – USD 25,000
Mid-range machines with standard PLC and hydraulic cutting: USD 25,000 – USD 60,000
