Job Title: Cold Form Machine Operator
Location: North Carolina

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cold Form Machine Operator to join our team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining cold forming machines, ensuring high-quality production, and adhering to strict safety standards. This position plays a critical role in setting up and operating machines to shape metal, working with precision to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Setup & Operation:
    • Selects, installs, and aligns dies, cutting tools, guides, and stops to set up the machine according to specifications.
    • Positions coils of steel wire on payoff rollers and feeds it through straightening rolls into the feed mechanism.
    • Adjusts die settings and machine controls to synchronize actions for multiple operations in the specified sequence on the workpiece.
    • Starts machine production, carefully observing machine operations to detect malfunctions or product defects.
  • Quality Control & Adjustments:
    • Inspects finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards.
    • Makes necessary adjustments to die settings and machine controls to maintain product specifications during production.
  • Machine Maintenance:
    • Conducts routine maintenance, including oiling and cleaning machinery regularly to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
    • Reports any mechanical issues to the maintenance team and collaborates to resolve them promptly.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Follows all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
    • Adheres to company policies and procedures related to machine operation, safety standards, and quality control.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating cold form or similar machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with machine tools, measuring devices, and production techniques.
  • Basic understanding of machine maintenance procedures.
