• Details of machinery you are looking for (“wanted” listings)

From Sellers:

• Name, email address, phone number, company name, country
• Company logo, description, and machinery catalog/listing content
• Payment and billing details (processed via our payment providers — see Section 6)
• Communications with our team during onboarding and support

Automatically collected:

• Usage data (pages viewed, time on site, referral source)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)

We may share your personal data with:

• Other users of the Platform — where you submit a wanted listing or contact a supplier, relevant details (e.g., your name, company, contact details, and requirements) are shared with the relevant Buyer or Seller to facilitate an introduction, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
• Service providers — third parties who support our operations, such as payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Wise), hosting providers, email/communication tools, and analytics providers. These providers only process data on our instructions and are bound by data protection obligations.
• Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, and auditors, where necessary.
• Regulators and authorities — where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.
• Business transfers — if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

As Machine Matcher works with Buyers and Sellers across 40+ countries, personal data may be transferred outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

• Transferring data to countries with an adequacy decision from the UK government; or
• Using UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTA) or other approved transfer mechanisms with recipients in countries without an adequacy decision.

Listing and account data is generally retained for the duration of your use of the Platform and for a reasonable period afterward, unless you request earlier deletion (see Section 7).

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal, and/or Wise). We do not store full payment card details on our own systems. Please refer to the relevant provider’s own privacy policy for details of how they process your payment data.
