H-Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machines (Gantry, T-Type, Cantilever, Multi-Function) | Jinfeng, Ningbo, China
Steel H-Beam Submerged Arc Welding Machines (MZG, TM, DMM, XMH)
Jinfeng (Ningbo Jinfeng Welding & Cutting Machinery Manufacture): Cixi, Ningbo, China
Four types of submerged arc welding machine for welding the flange-to-web seams of H-beams up to 2,500mm high (and box beams), with one or two welding arms, bilateral drive, and 20m rails.
These machines weld the long fillet seams of H-beams using the submerged arc welding (SAW) process. They are the welding stage of Jinfeng's H-beam welding lines, and are used for heavy steel production lines and for welding very tall H-beams, in machine manufacturing and structural steel construction.
Jinfeng offers four types:
- MZG40 / MZG50 gantry for standard H-beams
- TM T-type machine for wide-flange beams
- DMM50 / DMM60 multi-function gantry, which also welds box beams
- XMH14 cantilever, for large H-beams
All are rail-mounted (20m rail), with bilateral drive and stepless frequency speed control. Welding parameters (current, voltage, and speed) are set from the control cabinet panel, and the machine has a weld tracing device. Jinfeng says the weld is smooth, that a single pass can produce a fillet weld leg of 8 to 12mm, and that this lowers the skill needed from the welder. The machines can be set up with single arc single wire, or double arc double wire welding for higher productivity.
Why Choose Machine SAW for H-Beams?
Submerged arc welding is the standard process for the long seams of structural beams, because it gives deep penetration and smooth, consistent welds at high deposition. Automating it takes the process out of the welder's hands and improves seam quality.
- Consistent welds. Set parameters and weld tracing give repeatable seams.
- Big fillet in one pass. Jinfeng says leg sizes of 8 to 12mm in a single pass.
- Double wire option. Double arc double wire for higher deposition.
- Range of beam sizes. H-beams up to 2,500mm high, and box beams.
- Flux recovery. A built-in flux recycling system.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size of beam can it weld?
Depending on the model, H-beams up to 1,000mm wide and 2,500mm high, and box beams up to 1,500mm.
What is the difference between the models?
The MZG is a standard gantry, the TM is a T-type for wide flanges, the DMM is a larger multi-function gantry that also welds box beams, and the XMH14 is a cantilever machine for large beams.
How fast does it weld?
250 to 1,000mm/min (250 to 750mm/min on the XMH14), depending on the welding process.
How thick a fillet can it weld?
Jinfeng says a fillet weld leg of 8 to 12mm in a single pass.
Can it use two wires?
Yes. It can be equipped with single arc single wire or double arc double wire welding.
Is the machine part of a line?
Yes. It's the welding machine in Jinfeng's H-beam welding lines, and it works with the assembly machine, straightener, conveyors, and tilting and overturning equipment.
Is financing or staged payment available?
Yes. A deposit secures your order and begins production, with the remaining balance due only once your machine has been built, inspected, and is ready to ship.
Should I buy new or used?
These machines are available new, built to order.
