Overview

The QFMG series is a fitting-up machine for attaching flanges to pipe, used in pipe spool fabrication. It fits up both slip-on flanges and WNF flanges (weld neck flanges) to the pipe end so they can be tack welded before final welding. It also helps control pipe misalignment during fit-up.

A specially designed cross-type chuck clamps the flange and adjusts its position. The chuck lifts (stroke depending on the model) and can rotate ±45° to handle special fit-up requirements. The whole machine moves along a rail, which can be made to suit the pipe length, so the same machine can serve different pipe lengths. Movement along the rail can be manual or motorised.

There are five models covering pipe from DN50 up to DN1200: the QFMG-16, 24, 32, 40, and 48.
