PLC-controlled spiral tubeformer for round HVAC duct from φ80 to φ1500mm and up to 8m long, in galvanised or stainless steel strip, with a moving saw (DMTF-1500) or plasma (DMTF-1500C) cutting system.

The Spiral Tubeformer 1500 makes spiral-wound round duct for HVAC systems. A steel strip is fed in, wound into a tube with a lockseam, and cut to length. DDM calls it the "hot sale" model and the most cost-effective for making ductwork. It forms tube from φ80mm up to φ1500mm in diameter, in lengths from 100mm to 8,000mm.

The machine uses flexible steel strip moulds for forming, which allows the mould to be set to different diameters. It has PLC control, and speed is adjustable from 0 to 38m/min. A sensor controls the cut length, and a moving saw follows the tube so the cut is smooth. Interchangeable corrugating (beading) rollers can be fitted to reinforce larger-diameter ducts.

Two versions are offered. The DMTF-1500 cuts with a saw blade, and the upgraded DMTF-1500C cuts with plasma and handles thicker material, up to 2.0mm galvanised steel.
