This used Iowa Precision Slear 1 slit and cut-to-length line ("Slear" line) is available from Galaxie Corporation. It slits coil into strips and shears the material into sheets or blanks, stacking them at the exit.

It takes coil 6"–60" wide in thicknesses of 0.015"–0.064", up to 20,000 lb, and handles cold rolled steel, aluminium, galvanised and pre-painted material. Line speed is 20–200 FPM, or 20–150 FPM when the scrap winders are used. It was built in 2004, with the stacker and side discharge conveyor new in 2013.
