Jinbolida Vertical Strip Looper – Heavy-Duty Strip Accumulator for Non-Stop Roll Forming

The Jinbolida Vertical Strip Looper is a heavy-duty strip accumulator that stores up to 500–800 m of steel strip, around 8 tonnes, between the uncoiler and the forming machine. While the line runs, the looper fills with strip. When the coil runs out and the next coil is being loaded and welded on, the looper releases its stored strip, so the forming machine keeps running at full speed. Handling strip from 100 to 400 mm wide at feed speeds up to 80–100 m/min, it removes coil changes as a production bottleneck and raises the utilisation of high-speed continuous lines such as roll formers and tube mills.

How It Works

• A powered feed unit draws strip in from the uncoiler
• Strip is stored on the outside of the accumulator and paid out from the inside
• A full-storage sensor detects when the looper is full
• During coil changes and strip welding, stored strip is released to the forming machine
• An end-of-material sensor detects when the stored strip is running low
