Full Description

DIMECO is a French family company based in Pirey, just outside Besançon in eastern France, and now in its fourth generation of family leadership. It builds equipment for processing sheet metal straight from the coil, and describes itself as a global leader in coil-fed production systems. In 2016 it brought its Pirey businesses, Dimeco Alipresse and Rotobloc-PSP, together under the single DIMECO brand.

Its core range feeds and prepares coil. Uncoilers, straighteners and NC feeders deliver strip into presses, and cut-to-length, slitting and shearing systems turn coil into sheet or strip. These handle material from 0.1 to 10 mm thick and 200 to 2,000 mm wide, including high-strength steels up to 1,500 MPa, with coils from 200 kg up to 35 tonnes.

DIMECO has also moved into coil-fed cutting. Its LINAPUNCH lines punch parts directly from coil, and the company says they reduce scrap by up to 25%. Its LINACUT lines combine a fiber laser with a coil feed, cutting parts from coils up to 25 tonnes and 2,000 mm wide. Both approaches remove the need to buy, store and handle cut sheets. Alongside these, DIMECO builds roll formers with interchangeable cassettes, and under the Rotobloc name supplies quick die change, tool clamping and tool handling equipment, plus PSP press safety and monitoring systems.
