About Unison
Unison Ltd designs and builds CNC tube and pipe bending machines in Scarborough, on the North Yorkshire coast. It introduced the all-electric tube bending machine in 1994. This uses servo motors instead of hydraulics for every axis, giving precise, repeatable bends with lower energy use. The company draws on more than 50 years of experience in tube bending, and it has a US subsidiary, Unison Tube LLC, in Durham, North Carolina. PHI, a California end forming specialist, has joined the group.
The core range is CNC tube benders: all-electric machines, hybrid machines, manual CNC benders, twin-head benders and special-application machines. Unison also builds mandrel-free tube benders, which bend tube without an internal mandrel for suitable jobs, and Pneuform machines for forming wire and small-bore tube. Around the bender, it supplies end forming and finishing machines (including PHI equipment), thread rolling, coiling and decoiling, washing, coning and threading machines, and rising saws. It also supplies automation and press brakes. In the UK and Ireland, Unison also sells Nukon fibre lasers for 2D sheet, 3D and tube cutting, with loading and unloading systems.
Unison makes its own software and tooling. Unibend CNC runs the machines, Opt2Sim simulates bends and scans tubes, and an app supports tube bending calculations. It supplies precision and consumable bending tooling, OEM spares, control upgrades for older machines, a knowledge base and full service support. It also holds machines in stock.

Who Unison suits best
Unison suits manufacturers that bend tube and pipe to tight tolerances in volume, such as automotive exhaust and fuel line makers, aerospace and defence suppliers, furniture and medical frame makers, and HVAC and hydraulic pipe producers. Its all-electric machines suit plants that want accuracy, repeatability and lower energy use. UK and Irish buyers can also source Nukon fibre lasers from the same supplier, and North American buyers have a local subsidiary in North Carolina.
