Packway's Argon Arc Steel Belt Strapping Machine Head, model DGR-VA(Q), is an automatic strapping head that secures steel coils, profiles and bundles with steel belt. It tensions the belt pneumatically and joins the overlap with argon arc welding.

It makes two parallel weld points at the centre of the belt overlap and reaches a joint strength of 85–95% of the original belt strength. It is built to be fitted into automated coil packing lines alongside coil wrapping and labelling equipment.
