0.3-3.0 mm High Speed Steel Coil Slitting Line | BLO Wuxi China
BLO 0.3 to 3.0 mm High Speed Metal Coil Slitting Line
The BLO high speed slitting line cuts wide metal coils lengthwise into multiple narrow strip coils, for material from 0.3 to 3.0 mm thick. The line uncoils the master coil, feeds it through a rotary slitter, and rewinds the finished strips onto a recoiler. Slit strips are used to feed tube mills, roll forming lines, stamping presses, and other downstream processes. The line is built by Wuxi BLO Machinery in Wuxi, China, and comes with a one-year warranty.
What Is a Coil Slitting Line?
A coil slitting line, also called a slitter or slitting machine, cuts a wide "master" coil of steel or other metal into several narrower coils of set widths. Steel mills usually supply coil in standard widths such as 1000, 1250, or 1500 mm, while roll formers, tube mills, and stamping shops need narrower strip. A slitting line bridges that gap, which is why it's one of the core machines in any steel service center or roll forming plant.
How the Line Works
1. Uncoiler. The uncoiler holds the master coil and pays it out into the line under steady tension.
2. Pinch roll and feeder. Pinch rolls grip the strip and feed it straight and level into the slitter.
3. Slitter. Pairs of circular knives on upper and lower shafts cut the strip lengthwise into narrow widths. Knife spacing is set with spacers to give the required strip widths, and knives of different materials can be fitted to slit different metals.
4. Recoiler. The recoiler rewinds the slit strips into separate coils, ready for the next process.

Key Features
Wide thickness range. One line handles 0.3 to 3.0 mm, covering thin roofing and panel coil through heavier strip for tube and profile production.
Multiple metals. Changing to knives of a suitable material lets the line slit steel, stainless, aluminum, and other metal coils.
Feeds downstream production. Slit coils go straight to tube mills, roll forming machines, stamping lines, and welding operations.
Warranty. The line comes with a one-year warranty and after-sales support from BLO.
Applications
This slitting line suits steel service centers, roll forming and tube mill operators, and manufacturers who want to buy wide master coil at lower cost and slit their own strip. Typical uses include strip for welded tube and pipe, roll formed profiles like purlins and studs, stamping blanks, and cold-bent sections.
About the Manufacturer
Wuxi BLO Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. was founded in 1998 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China. It builds sandwich panel lines, roll forming machines, grain silo lines, and cut-to-length lines, and it runs every complete line for at least 12 hours before shipment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a coil slitting line do?
It cuts a wide metal coil lengthwise into several narrower strip coils, which are then used in tube mills, roll forming lines, and stamping presses.
What thickness can the BLO slitting line cut?
It slits material from 0.3 to 3.0 mm thick.
What metals can it slit?
With suitable knives, it can slit carbon steel, galvanized and pre-painted steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal coils.
What are the main parts of a slitting line?
The main sections are the uncoiler, pinch roll and feeder, slitter, and recoiler. Larger lines also add a coil car, straightener, scrap winders, looper, and tension unit.
How many strips can a slitting line cut at once?
Lines of this type typically cut up to about 30 strips from thin material, and fewer from thicker material. Confirm the exact number with BLO for your coil.
What is the difference between a slitting line and a cut-to-length line?
A slitting line cuts coil lengthwise into narrower coils. A cut-to-length line cuts coil across its width into flat sheets of set length.
Does the slitting line come with a warranty?
Yes, it has a one-year warranty.
