Shung Dar Industrial Co., Ltd
Shung Dar, Changhua, Taiwan: coil feeding lines, NC servo feeders, blanking, slitting and cut-to-length lines and press transfer robots since 1982.
Shung Dar Industrial Co., Ltd.
Type: Manufacturer of coil feeding, coil processing and press automation equipment
Location: No. 274-16, Sec. 1, Hsien Tung Rd., Changhua City 500, Taiwan
Shung Dar suits stamping plants, especially automotive and electronics suppliers, that want to automate the whole press line rather than just the feed. It builds the equipment that sits around the press: coil feeding at the front, transfer robots between presses, and quick die change carts. It's a strong pick for buyers already running AIDA presses, given its technical partnership with AIDA on blanking lines. Its 40-year record as a feeder builder makes it a lower-risk choice for buyers who need proven, standardized 3-in-1 servo feeders for everyday production.
Product Details
Coil Feeding Lines
Uncoilers, straighteners, NC roll feeders and compact 3-in-1 NC servo feeders that combine coil cradle, straightener and feeder in one unit. Models include the SNR1 for 0.3–3.2 mm material and the SNR6E for 0.6–6.0 mm material.
Press Blanking Lines
Complete lines that cut steel coil into blanks and stack them automatically, developed with technical input from AIDA.
Multi Blanking Lines
Flexible lines that combine cutting and slitting in one setup.
Automatic Steel Coil Slitting Lines
Automated lines that slit wide coil into narrower strip.
Cut-to-Length Lines
Including tension-leveling rotary shear lines and transformer core cut-to-length lines, the latter developed with Japan's ATS Corp.
Press Transfer Robot Systems
3D transfer systems and four- and five-axis swing-arm stamping robots that move parts between presses. They work with 2 to 10 presses in a line.
Automatic Quick Mold Change Carts
Carts that speed up die changes and reduce press downtime.
Metal Plate Levelers
Precision levelers, including a 30 mm heavy-plate leveler introduced in 2020.
Hydraulics & Test Systems
Hydraulic equipment through its Shung Dar hydraulics subsidiary, plus reaction brackets, laboratory equipment and test rigs.

Full Description
Shung Dar Industrial was founded in 1982 in Changhua, central Taiwan, and has spent more than four decades building the automation that feeds and surrounds metal stamping presses. Its development history follows the evolution of the press feeder itself. It made auto straighteners and uncoilers in 1984, NC roll feeders in 1988, and in 1990 the compact 3-in-1 unit that combines coil cradle, straightener and NC feeder. That 3-in-1 design is now standard across the industry.
From feeders, Shung Dar expanded into the wider press line. It developed 3D press transfer systems in 2007, and now builds swing-arm stamping robots that link anywhere from 2 to 10 presses. Its range also includes blanking lines, slitting lines, cut-to-length lines and levelers, among them a 30 mm precision leveler for heavy plate, as well as quick die change carts.
Partnerships set Shung Dar apart from many Taiwanese feeder builders. Since 2014 it has had technical partnerships with Japanese press maker AIDA on blanking lines and with Germany's Heilbronn. In 2016 it worked with ATS Corp. of Japan on transformer core cut-to-length lines. It has also had an agency relationship with Coe Press Equipment in the US.
Shung Dar says it was the first Taiwanese automation and press peripherals company to gain ISO 9001 certification, in 2001. It also holds CE and SGS certification. It runs a factory in Kunshan, China, and an office in Tianjin, and exports to around 30 countries, including the USA, Germany, Turkey, India, Brazil, Russia and much of Southeast Asia. Its main customers are automotive, electronics, TFT/LCD and general metal stamping manufacturers.
