Full Description
A. Green Co. traces its roots to 1946, when brothers Morris and Sam Green founded Green Brothers of Worcester on Southbridge Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Morris's sons, Arnold and Howard, joined in the early 1950s, and the business moved to larger premises on King Street in the 1960s, later adding a 25,000 sq ft building with two cranes. Arnold and Howard took over in the early 1970s.
When Howard retired in 1993, Green Brothers closed, and in 1994 Arnold Green founded A. Green Co. His sons Donald and Harvey joined him, making it the third generation of the family in the machinery trade.
The company buys and sells new and used metalworking machinery, covering CNC and conventional lathes, machining centres, boring mills, grinders, presses, saws, drills and fabricating equipment. Brands it handles include Haas, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Cincinnati and Hurco.
