Full Description

Tangshan Qinpeng works in two linked areas: metallurgical consumables, chiefly rolls, and the equipment that uses them. Based in Tangshan, the steel-making heart of Hebei Province, it has more than 20 years in the industry and supplies steel mills as well as cement, mining and foundry customers.

Rolls are its foundation, and it makes them from the melt up. Its foundry has 15, 6 and 5 tonne induction furnaces, an 8 tonne electric arc furnace and an 80 tonne ladle refining furnace, supported by heat-treatment furnaces, large grinders and CNC milling machines. Quality checks use ultrasonic flaw detection, metal analysis, tensile testing and optical microscopy. This lets the company produce a wide spread of roll grades, from wear-resistant high-speed steel and adamite rolls for finishing stands to graphitic cast steel rolls for roughing stands in bar, section and wire mills.

On the equipment side, Qinpeng supplies complete high-frequency welded tube mills from small 32 mm precision lines up to 219 mm, as well as API pipe mills and direct-forming square tube lines. It also offers the slitting lines, entry sections and accumulators that feed them. Because it also makes forming rollers, roll rings and spare parts, buyers can source a mill and its ongoing tooling from the same company.
